Why should I have my vehicle detailed?
Dirt and other pollutants, on your vehicle’s exterior and interior surfaces, along with lack of conditioners and protectants, are the primary causes of deterioration in a vehicle’s appearance.

Washing removes the loose pollutants, whereas detailing is a deep cleaning, rejuvenation, conditioning, and protection of all the surfaces. The defects that have penetrated surfaces are removed, such as oxidation, swirl marks, scratches and more. The interior is cleaned and protected by conditioning the leather and vinyl to prevent cracking. Cloth interiors are cleaned and protected from food/beverage spillage, etc. Interior odors are eliminated.

Detailing should be a part of your vehicle’s regularly scheduled maintenance program. Just as maintaining it mechanically is important in protecting your investment, the same is true for maintaining it’s appearance. Because of the rising costs of purchasing a new vehicle, or obtaining a quality paint job, maintaining it’s appearance is the wisest and most economical alternative.

 What is Paint Selant?.

Sealants are synthetic and chemically engineered polymers used for paint protection.  It has similar characteristics as traditional waxes such as improving appearance and adding a protective barrier against the elements but that is as similar as they get.  Generally, sealants have more durability (how long it lasts on the paint) then waxes.  Sealants can last anywhere from 6-12 months depending on environmental conditions and other factors.  They can last longer during summer heat having a much higher melting point than traditional carnauba waxes.

What is a clay bar and why it is important?

An Automotive clay bar is pretty much just that, a bar of clay made specifically for automotive finishes.  Whether your car is less than month old or years old, the paint is subjected to constant exposure to industrial fall out, tar, bugs, brake dust, exhaust, overspray, and general pollution.  Washing and even polishing is not effective enough to remove these harmful contaminants from your paint.  Clay barring the vehicle will "pull" these items from the paint leaving the finish as smooth as glass and improves overall clarity.  Claying also ensures that waxes or sealants bonds to the surface properly increasing the durability of protection.

What is oxidation?
Oxidation is when the surface of your vehicle’s paint begins to deteriorate from the sun and other environmental exposure. Light oxidation can usually be removed with a thorough clay bar cleaning and a high speed dual action buffer. Heavy oxidation can be first cleaned with a clay bar, then polished using a high speed rotary buffer and a cleaning compound followed by a dual action buffer using a quality wax.

I have clear coat on my vehicle. Why should I wax it?

Clear coat is paint that lacks pigment. It is put on at the factory to give a shiny appearance to your paint color. Because it is a paint, it is still vulnerable to all the outside elements that paint is, such as oxidation, scratches, bugs, tar, etc., and it will deteriorate, as any paint does, if it is not kept clean and protected.
